View of the Charles Bridge and Prague Castle from the Old Town Bridge Tower
I had to get a little too close to some crunchy spiders for my liking to get these shots, but I guess they deserve to enjoy a nice view too.

There is a legend that says you if you make a wish while touching one of the 30 statues on the Charles Bridge (or Karluv Most in Czech), it will come true. Unfortunately, I touched the wrong one. That’s ok though, it just gives me yet another reason to return to beautiful Prague.
Construction on the bridge began in 1357, and less than 40 years later poor St. John was thrown from it for not revealing the Queen’s confession to King Wenceslas IV. Today on the bridge though, you will see a lot of non-violent (and quite talented) artists and musicians selling paintings of the city and playing everything from classical music to Metallica.
Like most visitors, I traveled over the bridge many times during my visit, and even under it once or twice. With beautiful views of the Vltava River and the gorgeous architecture of both the Old Town and Prague Castle, I could have parked myself there for a full day just to take pictures.
