The first time I was on this stage was during a tour of the Masonic Temple years ago. We had spent the day exploring lodges, chapels, and all sorts of strange and beautiful rooms. We wandered down eerie hallways and through (I’m 99% sure) haunted locker rooms to see an unfinished swimming pool. We saw elegant ballrooms, an expansive drill hall, and all kinds of amazing places to get lost.
The day was packed with fascinating stories, but the highlight for me was when we walked into this theater (then known as the Scottish Rite Cathedral) and our tour guide mentioned that it was Jack White’s favorite place to play.
Whether that statement is true or not, there have been some incredible shows here, and being back up on that stage last month was again the best part of my day.
